Abstract:
Feedback control of the rotational speed of an idling engine is performed with a good response and without overshooting, by controlling the time during which an actuator (12) is driven, to regulate the rotational speed of the engine in accordance with the output of a deviation detector (6) which produces a signal in response to the deviation between the output of a target rotational speed calculator (5) and a rotational speed calculator (4) detecting and calculating the actual rotational speed, and by controlling the times during which the actuator (12) is driven and stopped to be optimum values in response to the time during which the actuator (12) is driven, or engine parameters, relative to the time required until the rotational speed of the engine is stabilized.
