Provided in the present disclosure are a rotor assembly and a consequent pole motor. The rotor assembly comprises a rotor iron core (1), the rotor iron core (1) comprising permanent magnet poles and consequent poles distributed alternately along the circumferential direction, each permanent magnet pole comprising a mounting slot (2), a permanent magnet (3) being mounted in the mounting slot (2), the polarity of the permanent magnets (3) facing the outer edge of the rotor iron core (1) being the same polarity, second air slots (5) being arranged respectively on two sides of the mounting slot (2), and first air slots (4) being arranged respectively on two sides of the magnetic pole centre line, the first air slot (4) being positioned between the second air slot (5) and the magnetic pole centre line on the side close to the second air slot (5), an acute angle tip being formed between the radial outer wall of the first air slot (4) and a first slot wall close to the magnetic pole centre line, and the acute angle tip converging toward the magnetic pole centre line. The rotor assembly of the present disclosure effectively suppresses the electromagnetic torque drop caused by the magnetic flux area of the permanent magnet being designed to be too large, improving the performance of the motor.
