Abstract:
This rotor has: a rotor core having an outer periphery extending in a circumferential direction about the axis line and having a magnet insertion hole; and a permanent magnet disposed in the magnet insertion hole. The permanent magnet constitutes a magnet magnetic pole, and a part of the rotor core constitutes a virtual magnetic pole. The width of the virtual magnetic pole in the circumferential direction is narrower than the width of the permanent magnet in the circumferential direction. The rotor core has at least one slit in the virtual magnetic pole.
