Abstract:
This rotor is provided with: a plurality of rod-shaped conductors; a first end ring (11) bonded to one end of the conductors by friction stir welding, the portion of the surface of the first end ring (11), at least on the side opposite where the conductors extend out, being stirred by the friction stir welding; a second end ring (12) bonded to the other end of the conductors by friction stir welding, the portion of the surface of the second end ring (12), at least on the side opposite where the conductors extend out, being stirred by the friction stir welding; and a cylindrical iron core (13) provided between the first and second end rings, a plurality of insertion holes through which each of the conductors can be inserted being formed along the center axis direction of the iron core (13).
