Abstract:
Disclosed in the present application are a routing method and a related device. The method comprises: a control entity determining first metric information of a first SR path, generating a first BGP update message which comprises the first metric information, and sending the first BGP update message to an ingress node of the first SR path, wherein the first metric information represents the quality of the first SR path, the first metric information is used for routing a plurality of paths, an IP prefix of a destination node of each of the plurality of paths is the same, and the plurality of paths comprise the first SR path. By means of the method, a control entity can send, to an ingress node of an SR path and by means of a BGP update message, metric information which represents the quality of the SR path, such that a routing node for routing can perform, with reference to the quality of the SR path, rational routing on a plurality of paths comprising the SR path, and therefore the routing can meet the expectations of a user for the routing.
