Abstract:
A rubber composition for chafers which improves hardness and elongation at break to thereby improve the durability of a bead part and can inhibit chafer chipping during detachment from the rim. The rubber composition for chafers contains a rubber ingredient comprising butadiene rubber containing syndiotactic poly(1,2-butadiene) dispersed therein having an average primary-particle diameter of 100 nm or smaller. It has a JIS-A hardness of 75-85 and an elongation at break in a tensile test of 180% or higher.
