Abstract:
Provided is a rubber composition for a heavy-load tire in which wear resistance and fuel economy performance are improved over conventional levels, and workability and tensile strength are improved, achieving both of these performances in a well-balanced manner. 40 or more parts by mass of silica is blended into 100 parts by mass of a diene rubber containing 60−85 mass% of isoprene rubber and 15−40 mass% of modified styrene-butadiene rubber having a glass transition temperature of less than −50°C, and a silane coupling agent is blended in an amount of 1−20 mass% with respect to the blended amount of silica.
