Abstract:
A rubber composition improved in heat resistance and suitable for use as a rubber for reinforcing the sidewalls of a tire, a bead filler rubber, etc. The rubber composition comprises (A) natural rubber and/or a synthetic diene rubber and compounded therewith (B) at least one compound selected among compounds represented by the general formula (I) R?1¿-S-S-A-S-S-R?2¿ (I) (wherein A represents C¿2-10? alkylene and R?1¿ and R?2¿ each independently represents a nitrogenous monovalent organic group), citraconimide compounds, and acrylates. The pneumatic tire has a reinforcing rubber layer formed from this rubber composition in the sidewalls and/or contains a bead filler formed from this rubber composition.
