Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a rubber composition that gives tires excellent in terms of low heat build-up property and comes to have a high hardness; and a pneumatic tire including a tire tread formed from the rubber composition.
The rubber composition according to the present invention comprises a diene-based rubber, silica, and an acid-modified polyolefin having an average particle diameter less than 1,000 µm, the silica being contained in an amount of 1-150 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the diene-based rubber and the acid-modified polyolefin being contained in an amount of 1-30 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the diene-based rubber.
[The average particle diameter is the opening size of a finest sieve through which 50% or more of the particles pass in a sieving method using sieves complying with JIS Z8801:2006.]
