Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a rubber composition for tires which enables tires to combine wet grip performance with fuel-saving performance to a high degree. The rubber composition for tires is characterized by comprising a rubber component comprising an isoprene skeleton rubber and a modified styrene/butadiene rubber having a combined styrene content of 15 mass% or less, a hydrogenated resin having a softening point higher than 100°C and a weight-average molecular weight (g/mol) higher than 1,200 but not higher than 1,600 in terms of polystyrene, silica, and carbon black, the proportion of the silica to the sum of the silica and the carbon black being 50 mass% or higher but less than 100 mass%.
