Abstract:
The problem of the present invention is to provide a rubber composition for a tire with which both tire gripping performance and manufacturing workability can be achieved at high levels. The solution to this problem is a rubber composition, for a tire, that includes a rubber component and a softening agent, and that is characterized in that: the rubber component includes at least one substance selected from styrene-butadiene rubbers and butadiene rubbers; the softening agent has a softening point of more than 110°C and includes a terpene-based resin and a hydrogenated resin having a weight average molecular weight of 200-1600 g/mol in terms of polystyrene; and the hydrogenated resin and the terpene-based resin satisfy the formula: mass ratio of hydrogenated resin/terpene-based resin ≥ 1.4/1.
