Abstract:
The present invention provides a rubber composition with which it is possible to produce a vulcanized rubber having excellent wear resistance without compromising cracking resistance and a low heat generation property. This rubber composition comprises: a rubber component (A); carbon black (B) which has a CTAB specific surface area of 110-160 m2/g, a half-value width ΔD50 of at most 60 nm for the peak including a Stokes equivalent diameter Dst as determined by a centrifugal sedimentation method, and a ΔD50/Dst ratio of at most 0.95; and silica (C) having a CTAB specific surface area of at least 200 m2/g, wherein the sum total of the contained amount (b) of the carbon black (B) and the contained amount (c) of the silica (C) is 30-80 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the rubber component (A), and (b):(c) equals 60 to 85 : 40 to 15.
