Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a rubber composition that is for tires and that can prevent discoloration of the exterior of a tire while improving the wet-grip performance and low-rolling resistance of the tire. A solution to the problem is a rubber composition that is for tires and that is characterized by comprising rubber components, a filler, a silane coupling agent, and a fatty acid metal salt, and is characterized in that the rubber components include an isoprene backbone rubber and a styrene-butadiene rubber, the filler at least includes silica, the silane coupling agent has a thiol group. The contained amount of the silane coupling agent is 1-10.5 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the silica, and the contained amount of the fatty acid metal salt is 0.1-3.5 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the rubber components.
