Abstract:
Provided is a rubber composition for tires, whereby it becomes possible to reduce the rolling resistance of a pneumatic tire and improve the wet grip performance and tire durability of a pneumatic tire. The rubber composition for tires is characterized by comprising 100 parts by weight of a diene-type rubber and WT part(s) by weight of an aromatic-modified terpene resin having a softening point of 100ºC or higher, wherein the diene-type rubber comprises a butadiene rubber in an amount of 35% by weight or more and less than 65% by weight and an emulsion-polymerized styrene butadiene rubber containing bound styrene in an amount of 35% by weight or more wherein the total amount of the butadiene rubber and the emulsion-polymerized styrene butadiene rubber is 50% by weight or more and less than 90% by weight. The rubber composition for tires is also characterized in that the ratio (WB/WT) of the added amount (WB part(s) by weight) of the butadiene rubber to the added amount (WT part(s) by weight) of the aromatic-modified terpene resin is 2.5 to 5.0.
