Abstract:
Provided is a rubber composition for tires which is excellent in terms of wear resistance and wet performance and has excellent moldability. The rubber composition is one obtained by incorporating 50-150 parts by mass of silica and 10-80 parts by mass of a thermoplastic resin into 100 parts by mass of diene-based rubbers comprising a styrene/butadiene rubber (A), a styrene/butadiene rubber (B), and butadiene rubber, and is characterized in that the butadiene rubber and the styrene/butadiene rubber (A) are contained in amounts of 30 mass% or larger and 15-35 mass%, respectively, with respect to the diene-based rubbers, the amount of which is taken as 100 mass%, that the content of the styrene/butadiene rubber (B) is 1-2 times by mass that of the styrene/butadiene rubber (A), that the styrene/butadiene rubber (A) has a glass transition temperature of -75°C to -50°C, and that the styrene/butadiene rubber (B) has a weight-average molecular weight which is at least twice the weight-average molecular weight of the styrene/butadiene rubber (A).
