Abstract:
Provided is a rubber composition for a water hose containing the following component (A) as its major component, and the following components (B) and (C). This enables the production of a thin and lightweight water hose that exhibits an excellent low-temperature compression set without losing mechanical strength such as tensile strength. Component (A) is an ethylene-propylene-diene rubber having an ethylene content of 51-65 wt%. Component (B) is an ethylene-octene resin having a melting point of 47°C-104°C. Component (C) is a polyethylene having a melt flow rate (MFR) of 0.14-40 g/10 min.
