Abstract:
Disclosed is a rubber gasket which can achieve sufficient sealing properties even for portions upon which internal pressure acts strongly and where the portion to be sealed is step-shaped. Disclosed is an annular rubber gasket (1) which is interposed between two members (2, 3) to be sealed which are fastened to one another. The rubber gasket (1) is formed from an elastomer molded body which is molded as a single body containing a cylindrical section (11), a flange shaped section (12) which is linked to the side outer periphery section (11d) of one end section (11c) of the cylindrical section (11) so as to extend outward around the entire perimeter, and an annular core (13) buried along the entire perimeter of the flange shaped section (12). The rubber gasket (1) is interposed between two members (2, 3) to be sealed, and when fastening the two members (2, 3), both end sections (11b, 11c) of the cylindrical section (11) in the axial direction thereof, are located at respective seal line sections (2L, 3L) of the two members, and the cylindrical section (11) is compressed along the fastening direction by fastening pressure.

Claims:
