Abstract:
A rudder control apparatus and method. The apparatus comprises a propeller (100), a first rudder wing (200), a second rudder wing (300), and a third rudder wing (400). The first rudder wing (200) can rotate around a first torsion rudder shaft (210), the second rudder wing (300) can swing up and down around a first wing flapping rudder shaft (320), and the third rudder wing (400) can swing up and down around a second wing flapping rudder shaft (420). When an underwater vehicle (10) travels at medium and high speeds, left and right heading control is implemented by twisting the first rudder wing (200) around the first torsion rudder shaft (210), and during travel at low speeds, the left and right heading control is implemented by means of a wing flapping action of the second rudder wing (300) or the third rudder wing (400).
