Abstract:
The present application relates to the technical field of communications, and discloses rule processing and rule searching methods and apparatuses, a device and a readable storage medium. A method comprises: an encoding device acquiring multiple rule addresses; determining a coverage relationship of each rule address of the multiple rule addresses; then, the encoding device may encode each rule address, according to the coverage relationship of each rule address, to obtain a first encoding of each rule address, and replace a rule address included in an access control rule with the first encoding of the rule address, the rule addresses being used to match a message address carried by a message, one rule address being a field included in an access control rule, and the length of the first encoding being smaller than the length of the rule address corresponding to the first encoding. By means of encoding a rule address included in an access control rule (ACL) into a first encoding having a smaller length, memory occupied by the access control rule is effectively reduced, thereby reducing storage resources of the ACL.
