Abstract:
This rubber composition for run-flat tires includes: a rubber component; 1–10 parts by mass low-molecular weight conjugated diene copolymer, relative to 100 parts by mass of the rubber component, that has a polystyrene-equivalent weight-average molecular weight of 10,000–40,000; and a vulcanization accelerator. The ratio (vulcanization accelerator/low-molecular weight conjugated diene copolymer) between the vulcanization accelerator content and the low-molecular weight conjugated diene copolymer content is at least 1–3.5. A run-flat tire is obtained that has improved run-flat durability without losing riding comfort. Said run-flat tire comprises: a side wall section having a side reinforced rubber layer using the run-flat tire rubber composition; a tread; a carcass; a bead core; and a bead filler.
