Abstract:

A run-flat tire (1) is equipped with a side reinforcement rubber (5) having a crescent-shaped cross section. When the tire is assembled with a rim and the internal pressure is brought to at least 250 kPa, and if the cross-sectional width SW of the tire is less than 165 (mm), the ratio SW/OD of the cross-sectional width SW and the external diameter OD of the tire is 0.26 or less, and if the cross-sectional width SW of the tire is 165 (mm) or greater, the cross-sectional width SW and the external diameter OD of the tire satisfy the relational expression OD ≥ 2.135 × SW + 282.3 (mm). A tread section (2) has at least one circumferential groove (10, 11) that extends continuously in the tire circumferential direction. If the half-width in the tire width direction of a belt layer with the greatest width in a cross-section in the tire width direction in a standard state is WB and the distance in the tire width direction from the edge section in the tire width direction of the belt layer with the greatest width to the central position in the tire width direction of the circumferential groove, from among the circumferential grooves, located outermost in the tire width direction is WG, the relational expression 0.5 ≤ WG / WB ≤ 0.8 is satisfied.
