Abstract:
A rust-preventive oil composition which comprises at least one base oil selected from the group consisting of mineral oils and synthetic oils and, contained in the base oil in an amount of 1 to 10 wt.% based on the whole composition, at least one sulfonate selected from the group consisting of alkali metal sulfonates, alkaline earth metal sulfonates (excluding barium sulfonate), and sulfonic acid amine salts, and in which the content of each of barium, zinc, chlorine, and lead in terms of element amount is up to 1,000 weight ppm of the whole composition and the content of compounds represented by the following general formula (1): (1) (wherein R?1¿ represents C¿1-24? alkyl; R?2¿ represents C¿2-4? alkylene; m is an integer of 1 to 5; and n is an integer of 1 to 6) is up to 1,000 weight ppm of the whole composition.
