Abstract:
In a saddle-riding-type vehicle 1 according to the present invention, any decrease in drivability caused by diagnosing the deterioration of a catalyst 53 is minimized and any increase in the amount of air pollutants in exhaust gas released into the atmosphere caused by diagnosing the deterioration of the catalyst is suppressed while the accuracy and frequency of diagnosing the deterioration of the catalyst 53 is maintained or improved. A catalyst deterioration diagnosis device 84 sets a value of a cycle and/or an amplitude of increase/decrease in the amount of fuel supplied to a combustion chamber 30 during a diagnosis period T1-Tn on the basis of a value related to signal responsiveness of a downstream oxygen sensor 77 acquired at a point in time that is close to the diagnosis period within a non-diagnosis period. A fuel supply amount control device 82 sets fuel supply amounts during a plurality of diagnosis periods and controls a fuel supply device 46 on the basis of a signal from an upstream oxygen sensor 76 so that the value of the cycle and/or the amplitude of increase/decrease in the amount of fuel is the same as the value set by the catalyst deterioration diagnosis device 84 on the basis of the value related to the signal responsiveness of the downstream oxygen sensor 77.
