Abstract:
Provided is a safety apparatus for travel in tunnels and on all roads, the apparatus being mounted on medians and guard rails of a road so as to prevent contact with vehicles. The safety apparatus comprises: safety cases installed on the road at regular intervals in a certain section; lighting units installed in the safety cases so as to emit light forward in the vehicle travel direction; warning units installed in the safety cases so that light blinks rearward in the vehicle travel direction; sensor units which detect the movement of vehicles traveling on the road and detect the presence of traffic congestion on the road through the movement of the vehicles, and which detect whether an accident has occurred and whether simple congestion due to an increase in vehicles has occurred when traffic congestion on the road is detected; and a control unit for controlling so that light is emitted from the lighting units when it is detected by the sensor unit that vehicles are traveling on the road, light blinks in a first color in the warning unit when it is detected by the sensor unit that simple congestion has occurred, and light blinks in a second color in the warning unit when it is detected by the sensor unit that an accident has occurred.
