Abstract:
The invention relates to a safety closure system, to an assembly of inner cap and outer cap with locking seal, and to a locking seal for providing a tamper-indicating safety closure. The invention provides an independent safety seal (11) which, for the outer cap (2) to be released and opened, first requires a button (15) to be ruptured by being pressed into the tubular body of the seal (11), and then a vertical pressure to be applied from below to the outer cap (2) in order to overcome the seal resistance. After opening, the seal (11) is displaced to a level lower than the surface of the outer cap, and is hidden. The opening pressure pushes the tube segments separated by the cutouts (17) in the body of the seal (11) towards one another, after the segments have been released by the rupture and displacement of the button (15), so as to reduce the diameter of the seal (11) and allow it to pass through the opening (8) in the outer cap (2), while the other end of the tubular body (12) is retained in the opening of the inner cap (1). After passing through the opening (8) in the outer cap (2), the tube segments naturally separate, increasing the outer diameter of the tube and preventing the seal from falling back through this opening (8).
