Abstract:
Provided is a sanitary absorbent article which is capable of effectively and continuously decomposing and removing a wide variety of odor-causing substances.
The sanitary absorbent article, selected from a diaper, an incontinence guard, a sanitary napkin, a panty liner, and other similar articles, comprises a liquid permeable cover layer, a liquid non-permeable cover layer, and an absorbent structure enclosed between the cover layers, wherein the liquid permeable cover layer and/or the absorbent structure includes a substance decomposing and removing fiber comprising a fiber with an air catalyst attached to a fiber surface thereof, and a cross-linked acrylate-based moisture absorbing/releasing fiber, the air catalyst comprising a metal composition including iron, aluminum, potassium, and titanium, where the metal content ratios in the metal composition are, with respect to 100 ppm of iron: 100 to 500 ppm of aluminum; 0.5 to 50 ppm of potassium; and 0.1 to 50 ppm of titanium.
