Abstract:
The present invention relates to a scaler tip having a contamination prevention member, and a scaling device using the same, the scaler tip being provided on a handpiece so as to enter the mouth of a patient and comprising: a removal unit for removing tartar or dental plaque formed on the teeth of the patient by using vibration applied from the handpiece; and a contamination prevention member fixed to the removal unit, and having an accommodation space arranged such that the handpiece can be accommodated in order to prevent contaminants from coming in contact with the handpiece. The scaler tip having the contamination prevention member, according to the present invention, has the contamination prevention member capable of covering the handpiece so as to prevent contaminants from coming in contact with the handpiece during the removal of tartar or dental plaque, thereby enabling contamination of the handpiece to be prevented. In addition, since the scaler tip having the contamination prevention member allows the contamination prevention member to be fixed to the removal unit coupled to the handpiece, the contamination prevention member is also replaced with the switching of the removal unit during the treatment of another patient, and thus the contamination prevention member is prevented from being used multiple times.
