Abstract:
A scanning endoscope system has: an illumination-use fiber; an actuator unit which has one or more pairs of drive units which are disposed at facing positions sandwiching the illumination-use fiber; and a driver unit which, with respect to one of the drive units of the one pair of drive units disposed along a predetermined axial direction in the actuator unit, outputs a first signal which has either a first waveform which periodically fluctuates centered on a positive voltage value so that the minimum value of the voltage value is greater than or equal to 0 or a second waveform which periodically fluctuates centered on a negative voltage value so that the maximum value of the voltage value is less than or equal to 0, and with respect to the other drive unit of the one pair of drive units, outputs a second drive signal which has the same waveform as the first drive signal and has a phase which is different from the phase of the first drive signal.
