A scene monitoring method and apparatus based on edge computing, a device, and a storage medium. The method is applied to an edge device, and comprises: obtaining an original image in a preset scene (S201); determining anomaly information from the original image according to a preset neural network model, wherein the anomaly information is used for representing information needing to be alarmed in the preset scene, the anomaly information is information in an anomaly image area in the original image, and the anomaly image area is determined on the basis of a confidence coefficient between the anomaly image area and a preset anomaly image (S202); and sending the anomaly information to a client for alarming (S203). The anomaly information is determined at an edge side, the anomaly information is directly sent to the client from the edge side, the delay caused by network transmission between the edge side and a cloud platform and between the cloud platform and the client is reduced, and the alarm efficiency is improved.
