Abstract:
Provided are scissors that do not mar or ruin the shape of a thing to be cut and that make it possible for handles to be operated above the thing to be cut and thereby make cutting easy. The present invention has: a blade shaft (6) that rotatably connects blades (4, 5) of scissors; a handle shaft (9) that rotatably connects handles (7, 8) of the scissors; and a connection shaft (12) that rotatably connects one of the handles (7, 8) and one of the blades (4, 5) such that opening/closing of the blades (4, 5) and opening/closing of the handles (7, 8) occur in tandem. When a thing to be cut is sheared by keeping one of the blades (a fixed blade (4)) parallel to a cutting line (13) that is the path along which the thing to be cut will be sheared and moving the other blade (a mobile blade (5)) relative to the fixed blade (4), the handles (7, 8) are positioned above the thing to be cut.
