Abstract:
The present application provides a screen display method and a terminal device, which can take into account the balance between the response rate of the terminal device and power consumption, and is flexibly applicable to various application scenarios, thereby improving user experience. The method comprises: detecting a first touch screen operation of a user on a first interface of an application program; in response to the first touch screen operation, displaying a second interface at a screen refresh rate that is equal to the frame rate of the application program, and determining whether the second interface is a target interface; when the second interface is the target interface, determining whether a second touch screen operation by the user on the second interface is detected; when the second touch screen operation is detected, determining whether a touch area corresponding to the second touch screen operation is a target area; when the touch area corresponding to the second touch screen operation is the target area, determining a target screen refresh rate according to the frame rate of the application program; and in response to the second touch screen operation, displaying the second interface at the target screen refresh rate.
