A screen lock control method, applicable to a handheld terminal. The method comprises: acquiring a sensing signal detected by a sensor; upon receiving a screen wake-up instruction, determining, according to the sensing signal, whether a current user is the same as a user corresponding to the previous screen unlocking operation; and if so, then skipping a screen unlocking operation required upon waking up a screen. The present application is based on the realization that most unlocking operations are unnecessary when a user uses a handheld terminal. Therefore, the present application checks, by monitoring a corresponding sensing signal with the sensor, whether a current user is the same as the user corresponding to the previous screen unlocking operation. If the current user is the same user, a screen unlocking operation is skipped, thereby achieving the effect of reducing the number of screen unlocking operations performed by a user, accordingly simplifying user operation steps, and optimizing use performance. In addition, the present application further provides a screen lock control device, a handheld terminal, and a computer readable storage medium that have the above technical effect.
