Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide a screen printing plate for forming a seal on a liquid crystal substrate, wherein the printing plate can suppress formation of scratches on the surface of an object to be printed, and has a superior printing property. A screen printing plate (10) is provided with: a first emulsion layer (12) formed to cover the lower side of a mesh layer (11) and comprising a first smooth surface (12a) smoothed by a flat sheet (25), so as to abut the object to be printed; and a second emulsion layer (13) formed to cover the upper side of the mesh layer (11) and comprising a second smooth surface (13a) smoothed by a flat sheet (26): wherein a predetermined opening (14) which penetrates the first emulsion layer (12) and the second emulsion layer (13) is provided, and a notch-like step portion (14a) is formed at the lower end of the first emulsion layer (12) on the first smooth surface (12a) side at the opening (14).
