Abstract:
 The present invention pertains to a screening method for a propagation promoting factor for pluripotent stem cells, employing a conditioned medium produced by culturing feeder cells in a serum-free medium which contains L-ascorbic acid, insulin, transferrin, selenium, and sodium hydrogen carbonate, but which does not contain serum or a serum replacement; to a pluripotent stem cell propagation method involving feeder free culture using the conditioned medium; and to a pluripotent stem cell propagation method involving feeder free culture of pluripotent stem cells prepared beforehand by on-feeder culture in the serum-free medium.
