Abstract:
This screw compressor is provided with a variable Vi (internal volume ratio) mechanism comprising a slide valve that moves in an axial direction of a screw rotor between a suction side and an ejection side, wherein the stop position of the slide valve is switched to modify the internal volume ratio. The variable Vi mechanism is provided with: a driving device which includes a cylinder, a first piston that is inserted into the cylinder to be movable in the axial direction and is connected to the slide valve, and a second piston that operates independently of the first piston; and a pressure switching mechanism that switches the pressure to be introduced into the cylinder of the driving device. The inside of the cylinder is partitioned by the first piston and the second piston into a space A, a space B, and a space C. The variable Vi mechanism moves at least the first piston by changing the pressure in some of the space A, the space B, and the space C by means of the pressure switching mechanism to thereby position the slide valve connected to the first piston in any of a first position, a second position, and a third position, thereby modifying the internal volume ratio.
