Abstract:
A screw drive mechanism of an injection molding machine, devised to prevent the machine from becoming expensive when a spline coupling is employed to couple a screw shaft with a means for rotating said shaft. A motor (12) is fastened to a pressure plate (1) which rotatably holds a screw shaft (2) but which does not permit the screw shaft (2) to move in the axial direction, and transmission units (14, 15, 16) are provided between a motor shaft (13) and the screw shaft (2) to rotate the screw shaft (2).
