Abstract:
A scroll compressor comprises a scroll unit (30) including a fixed scroll (32)
having a single delivery hole (50), and a turning scroll (52) performing turning
motion with respect to the fixed scroll (32). These scrolls (32, 52) cooperate
to form two transient compression chambers (70, 72) into which working fluid
is sucked. These transient compression chambers (70, 72) are consolidated
at the central portion of the scroll unit (30) into one final compression chamber
(74). When the ratio of volume of the transient compression chambers (70, 72)
immediately before formation of the final compression chamber (74) to the suction
volume of the transient compression chambers (70, 72) during suction of working
fluid is represented as a volume ratio, the transient compression chambers (70,
72) have a volume ratio of 0.5 or above.
