Abstract:
This scroll compressor is configured so that a refrigerant gas once taken into a hermetic container is compressed in a compression chamber. A second base plate section of an orbiting scroll has formed therein: an annular groove open to a second surface which is a frame-side surface, the opening portion of the annular groove being closed by a frame to cause the annular groove to serve as a back-pressure chamber; a gas communication passage which provides communication between the groove and the compression chamber which is compressing the refrigerant gas; and a first oil supply flow passage which has a first opening open to the second surface at a position inside and/or outside the groove and which supplies refrigeration machine oil between the second surface and the frame.
