Abstract:
Provided is a novel seal member for a cable, such that a ring-shaped slit portion, which could not be processed with a low hardness rubber, can be processed stably, an excellent sealing property is achieved, and the ring-shaped slit portion is provided so as to be removable.
A configuration is made, such that a rubber mold body, which has a first plane and a second plane opposed to each other in a thickness direction and a side surface portion connecting a periphery of the first plane and a periphery of the second plane, and the durometer A hardness of which is greater than zero and equal to or less than 30, is molded, and, in a state where the side surface portion of the molded rubber mold body is covered with a holder, while the rubber mold body is rotated, with one axis in the thickness direction being the center of rotation, a cutting blade is inserted into an interior of the rubber mold body through the first plane to form a ring-shaped slit portion, and the insertion of the cutting blade is stopped before the cutting blade reaches the second plane, whereby a ring-shaped slit portion not reaching the other side is formed.
