Abstract:
The present invention is a sealant for a display element that contains 2,4,6-trimethylbenzoyl-diphenylphosphine oxide (TPO) and a radical-polymerizable-monomer mixture including a silicon-free acrylate, the radical-polymerizable-monomer mixture fulfilling condition 1 below. Condition 1: The TPO powder visually dissolves completely within a stirring time of 30 minutes when 5 g of the radical-polymerizable-monomer mixture and a stir bar are placed in a 10-mL vial, 0.2 g of TPO powder is introduced at 25°C, and the stirring speed is set at 1000 rpm. The TPO powder used has been ground by a mortar and filtered by a JIS Z8801-1 mesh No. 14 (openings: 1.01 mm) mesh.
