Abstract:
Provided is a sealing device having a resin seal ring that is capable of providing a sealing function even when the compression allowance of the seal ring decreases over time due to creep deformation. The sealing device is characterized in that: in an annular groove (210), a resin seal ring (110), which is disposed on a combustion chamber side (E), and an elastic ring (120) made from a rubber-like elastic body, which is disposed on an atmospheric side (A), are provided. The sealing device is further characterized in that: the seal ring (110) has, on the inner peripheral surface side: a cylindrical surface section (112a) that adheres to the bottom of the annular groove (210) on the combustion chamber side (E); and an inclined surface section (112b) that increases in diameter toward the atmospheric side (A) on the atmospheric side (A). The sealing device is further characterized in that: the elastic ring (120) is positioned in such a manner that the region on the atmospheric side (A) of the seal ring (110) is pressed toward the outer periphery surface side due to the fact that at least part of the elastic ring (120) is sandwiched between the inclined surface section (112b) and the bottom of the annular groove.
