Abstract:

A sealing film which is arranged for heat sealing between an outer package and a lead conductor that is connected to a positive electrode or a negative electrode in a secondary battery that is covered with the outer package, said sealing film being characterized by being a three-layered multilayer sealing film that is formed of a core layer and skin layers on both surfaces of the core layer, and being also characterized in that: the core layer contains a polypropylene which has a melting point of from 155°C to 166°C and a melt flow rate (MFR) of from 0.5 g/10 min to 5 g/10 min; the skin layers contain a polypropylene which has a melting point of from 120°C to 150°C and a melt flow rate (MFR) of from 1 g/10 min to 40 g/10 min; the Charpy strength of the core layer is 15 kJ/m2 or more at 23°C; the thickness of the sealing film is from 30μm to 300μm; and the ratio of the thickness of the skin layers to the thickness of the core layer is from 0.2 to 5. This sealing film is used for the production of a secondary battery which has excellent insulation properties and excellent sealing performance.
