Abstract:
A seamless shaping hosiery for shaping a body of a wearer and method of manufacturing thereof are provided. The seamless shaping hosiery including two symmetrical knitted tubes, each tube comprising a first leg section configured to be placed over a leg of a wearer, connected to a second leg section configured to be placed over a thigh of the wearer. The second leg section is S-shaped cut, and a seamless shaper comprising various compression areas. The seamless shaper having a shape of panties comprising an S-shaped curve the rear side of at each of two leg openings and a concave curve at the front side of each of the two leg openings, to be connected to each of the two symmetrical knitted tubes at an area of connection by connecting means configured to provide elasticity to the area of connection.

CLAIMS

What is claimed is:

1. A seamless shaping hosiery for shaping a body of a wearer, said seamless shaping hosiery comprising: two symmetrical knitted tubes, each tube comprising a first leg section configured to be placed over a leg of a wearer, connected to a second leg section configured to be placed over a thigh of the wearer, wherein the second leg section is S-shaped cut; and a seamless shaper comprising various compression areas, said seamless shaper having a shape of panties comprising two leg holes, each of said two leg openings comprising an S-shaped curve at a rear side of the seamless shaper and a concave curve at a front side of the seamless shaper; wherein said seamless shaper is connected to each of the two symmetrical knitted tubes at an area of connection between each of the two curved leg openings of the shaper and the S-shaped second leg section of each of the knitted tubes by connecting means, said connecting means configured to provide elasticity to the area of connection.

2. The seamless shaping hosiery of claim 1, wherein said second leg section is of a higher density and higher compression than the first leg section.

3. The seamless shaping hosiery of claim 1, wherein the second leg section comprises a different knitting pattern than the first leg section, said second leg section configured to prevent ripping when cut and when connected to the seamless shaper.

4. The seamless shaping hosiery of claim 1, wherein the seamless shaping hosiery does not comprise a seam along any area that is configured to be placed over an abdomen, a buttocks or a torso of the wearer.

5. The seamless shaping hosiery of claim 1, wherein the second leg section creates an angle between 20 degrees to 75 degrees, between the second leg section and a longitudinal middle line.

6. The seamless shaping hosiery of claim 1, wherein the second leg section creates an angle of 45 degrees between the second leg section and a longitudinal middle line.

7. The seamless shaping hosiery of claim 1, wherein at the rear side of the seamless shaper, one side of the seamless shaper in proximity of a crotch comprises a convex curve, while another side of the seamless shaper in proximity of a thigh comprises a concave curve.

8. The seamless shaping hosiery of claim 1, wherein said seamless shaper comprises a waistband section of high compression to be positioned over a torso of the wearer to enhance curves of the body of the wearer.

9. The seamless shaping hosiery of claim 8, wherein said seamless shaper comprises a silicon waistband along an inside circumference of the waistband section to provide a tight grip of the seamless shaping hosiery onto a waist of the wearer.

10. The seamless shaping hosiery of claim 1, wherein said seamless shaper comprises a buttocks section of low compression to be positioned over a buttocks of the wearer to enhance shape of the buttocks of the wearer.

11. The seamless shaping hosiery of claim 10, wherein said seamless shaper comprises a lower buttocks section of higher compression than compression of the buttocks section, to lift the buttocks of the wearer.

12. The seamless shaping hosiery of claim 1, wherein the second leg section is configured to smoothen shape of each thigh of the wearer.

13. The seamless shaping hosiery of claim 1, wherein the two symmetrical knitted tubes and seamless shaper are made from different materials with different compression by different knitting techniques.

14. The seamless shaping hosiery of claim 1, wherein the seamless shaper is connected to each of the two symmetrical knitted tubes via stitches.

15. The seamless shaping hosiery of claim 1, wherein the connecting means are stitches selected from a group consisting of at least one of open-overlock stitches, overlock stitches, and flat-seam stitches.

16. The seamless shaping hosiery of claim 1, wherein the seamless shaper is connected to each of the two symmetrical knitted seamless tubes via glue.

17. A method for manufacturing a seamless shaping hosiery for shaping a body of a wearer of the seamless shaping hosiery, said method comprising: knitting two symmetrical tubes by knitting per each tube a first leg section configured to be placed over a leg of a wearer and continuing with knitting a second leg section extending from the low-density section, said second leg section configured to be placed over a thigh of the wearer; knitting a seamless shaper comprising various compression areas in a shape of panties comprising an S-shaped curve at a rear side of each of two leg openings and a concave curve at a front side of each of the two leg openings; cutting the second leg section at an S-shaped curve; and connecting the seamless shaper to each of the two symmetrical knitted tubes at an area of connection between each of the two curved leg openings of the shaper and the S-shaped second leg section of each of the knitted tubes via stitches that provide elasticity to the area of connection, thereby creating a seamless shaping hosiery for shaping a body of the wearer.

18. The method for manufacturing a seamless shaping hosiery of claim 17, wherein knitting the second leg section comprises knitting at an angle between 20 degrees to 75 degrees with respect to a longitudinal middle line.

19. The method for manufacturing a seamless shaping hosiery of claim 17, wherein knitting the second leg section comprises knitting at an angle of 45 degrees with respect to a longitudinal middle line.

20. The method for manufacturing a seamless shaping hosiery of claim 17, wherein knitting said seamless shaper comprises knitting a waistband section of high compression to be positioned over a torso of the wearer.

21. The method for manufacturing a seamless shaping hosiery of claim 17, wherein knitting the seamless shaper comprises knitting a buttocks section of low compression to be positioned over a buttock of the wearer to enhance shape of the buttocks of the wearer.

22. The method for manufacturing a seamless shaping hosiery of claim 17, wherein knitting said seamless shaper comprises knitting a lower buttocks section of higher compression than compression of the buttocks section, to lift the buttocks of the wearer.

23. The method for manufacturing a seamless shaping hosiery of claim 17, wherein connecting the seamless shaper at each leg hole to the second leg section is performed manually.

24. The method for manufacturing a seamless shaping hosiery of claim 17, wherein the tubes and seamless shaper are made from different materials with different compression by different knitting techniques.

Description:
SEAMLESS SHAPING HOSIERY

TECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present disclosure generally relates to a hosiery configured to shape the contour of the body of the wearer, and more specifically to a seamless shaping hosiery configured to support, lift and sculpt the wearer's body in a comfortable and flattering way.

BACKGROUND

[0002] Currently available pantyhose or stockings typically include two tubes configured to cover the legs of the wearer, these two tubes are continuously knitted from toe to waist. Each of the tubes may comprise a reinforced section that is configured to be placed over the thighs of a wearer and is of higher compression than that of the lower part of each tube, and a waist section that is configured to be placed over the waist of a wearer once joined with the waist section of the other tube. Once the two tubes are finished, a slit may be made on each tube from the waist section down and the area of the slits is sewn together to form a final pantyhose that covers the legs, crotch, abdomen and buttocks of a wearer. The sewing of the two tubes together includes creating a middle seam between the two tubes that has a U shape- the middle seam beginning at the middle of the front side of the waist section down the middle of the abdomen, along the crotch and up the buttocks to the middle of the back side of the waist section. Such pantyhose are manufactured using a machine that knits each tube separately, and a machine that slits and then sews the two tubes together.

[0003] The tubes are typically sewn as standard cone shaped tubes and are not ergonomically shaped to flatter and comfort the woman’s body, specifically the thighs, buttocks and abdomen. Thus, the wearing experience of standard pantyhose is uncomfortable and unflattering. In addition, machine diameter sizes that knit each of the currently available tubes are limited in size, meaning there is a limit to the maximum size that can be achieved by knitting a pantyhose this way. Thus, a large part of the population that does not fall within the ‘maximum’ size, are unable to comfortably wear these types of products.

[0004] Furthermore, the middle U shaped seam of standard pantyhose applies pressure along the crotch, the middle of the abdomen, and the middle of the buttocks, which causes discomfort to the wearer and also has a negative effect on the shape of the pantyhose wearer, since instead of a smooth and tight looking stomach or abdomen, the pantyhose creates an unattractive line along the middle of the stomach. [0005] Shapers that are made of materials of higher density and lower flexibility compared to the materials that pantyhose are made of, are more suitable for applying different pressure along different body parts in order to shape the wearer's body in a comfortable and flattering manner. Also, shapers are less limited in the range of sizes as compared to the size of pantyhose tubes.

[0006] However, no single product includes the benefit of comfortably shaping the body of the wearer, mainly the thighs, stomach and buttocks, with the benefit of covering the legs with any degree of density or sheer, without the discomfort and body shape distortion of current products. There is therefore a need for a single product that comprises all aforementioned benefits and more without the mentioned disadvantages.

SUMMARY

[0007] According to some embodiments, there is provided a seamless shaping hosiery for shaping a body of a wearer of the seamless shaping hosiery. According to the present disclosure, hosiery may refer to any of pantyhose, tights, nylons, stockings. The seamless shaping hosiery of the present disclosure may comprise: two symmetrical knitted tubes, each tube comprising a first leg section, of typically low- density, which is configured to be placed over a leg of a wearer, connected to a second leg section, of typically higher density and/or higher compression of the first leg section, which is configured to be placed over a thigh of the wearer. In some embodiments, the second leg section may be cut at an S-shape at its end that is not connected to the first leg section. The S-shape may be created by one side of each tube, e.g., the side that is closer to the crotch, including a short and concave shaped second leg section, which gradually increases until the opposing side of each tube, e.g., the side that is closer to the thigh of a wearer, comprises a longer and convex shaped second leg section. The seamless shaping hosiery may further comprise a seamless shaper section comprising various compression areas. In some embodiments, the seamless shaper section may have a shape of panties comprising leg openings of a concave shape on the front side of the shaper, while on the rear side of the shaper the leg openings are of an S-shaped curve with a convex shape at the buttocks area, corresponding to the S-shaped cut of the second leg section. While in an open configuration, each of the leg openings of the shaper and the S-shaped cut tubes create a circle through which the legs, mainly thighs of a wearer, may be inserted. Free leg movement is enabled due to the S-shaped curve of the tubes and of the rear side of the shaper section. [0008] In some embodiments, the seamless shaper may be connected to each of the two symmetrical knitted tubes at an area of connection between each of the two curved leg holes of the shaper and the S-shaped second leg section of each of the knitted tubes that provide elasticity to the area of connection.

[0009] According to some embodiments, the seamless shaping pantyhose may not comprise any seam along any area that is configured to be placed over an abdomen, a buttocks or a torso of the wearer.

[0010] According to some embodiments, the second leg section may create an angle between 20 degrees to 75 degrees, between the second leg section and a longitudinal middle line. [0011] According to some embodiments, the second leg section may create an angle of 45 degrees between the second leg section and a longitudinal middle line.

[0012] According to some embodiments, a front side of the seamless shaper may comprise a concave curve at each leg hole, while a rear side of the seamless shaper comprises an S- shaped curve at each leg hole, such to fit the two symmetrical tubes, thereby providing a comfortable connection that does not restrict leg movement.

[0013] According to some embodiments, the seamless shaper may comprise a waistband section of high compression to be positioned over a waist of the wearer to enhance curves of a waist the body of the wearer and keep the seamless shaping hosiery in place by avoiding slip and/or rolling of the seamless shaping hosiery. In some embodiments, the waistband may reach higher than the waist of a wearer, e.g., may reach until under the breasts.

[0014] According to some embodiments, the seamless shaper may comprise a silicon waistband along an interior circumference of the waistband section to provide a tight grip of the seamless shaping hosiery around a torso of a wearer, e.g., around a waist of the wearer or below the breasts of the wearer.

[0015] According to some embodiments, the seamless shaper may comprise a buttocks section of low compression to be positioned over a buttocks of the wearer to enhance shape of the buttocks of the wearer.

[0020] According to some embodiments, the stitches that provide elasticity may be at least one of open-overlock stitches, overlock stitches, flat-seam stitches or any other stitches that provide elasticity to the area of connection. In some embodiments, in order to provide elasticity to the stitches, the stitches should be knit with a certain level of stitches per inch (SPI), for example 28SPI or 32 SPI, though other SPI levels may be implemented.

[0021] According to some embodiments, there is provided a method for manufacturing a seamless shaping hosiery for shaping a body of a wearer of the seamless shaping hosiery. The method may comprise: knitting two symmetrical tubes by knitting per each tube a first leg section of typically low- density, which is configured to be placed over a leg of a wearer and continuing with knitting a second leg section, of typically higher density and/or higher compression, which extends from the first leg section, the second leg section configured to be placed over a thigh of the wearer; knitting a seamless shaper comprising various compression areas in a shape of panties comprising an S-shaped curve at the rear side of each of two leg holes, whereby at the rear side of the shaper, the side of the shaper close to the crotch comprises a concave curve and the side of the shaper closer to the thigh comprises a convex curve, while the front side of each of the two leg holes is of a concave shape; cutting the second leg section in an S-shape such that the side of each tube close to the crotch has a diagonal concave shape, and the side of each tube close to the thigh has a diagonal convex shape; and connecting the seamless shaper to each of the two symmetrical knitted tubes at an area of connection between each of the two curved leg holes of the shaper and the S-shaped second leg section of each of the knitted tubes via stitches that provide elasticity to the area of connection, thereby creating a seamless shaping hosiery for shaping a body of the wearer. [0045] Some embodiments of the present disclosure provide a seamless shaping hosiery that is configured to shape the body of a wearer of such seamless shaping hosiery in a flattering yet comfortable manner. To date, there is no product that enables shaping the body of a wearer by, for example, flattening the stomach, smoothening the lower stomach, enhancing and lifting the buttocks, while smoothening the thighs and providing a sheer of any degree and an aesthetic look to the legs, while further providing maximum comfort to the wearer. [0046] Some embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method for manufacturing a seamless shaping hosiery for shaping the body of a wearer. Typical so-called shaping pantyhose include two tubes comprising a sheer section continuously knitted and connected to a reinforced section that is located around the abdomen, buttocks and thighs of a wearer, which is made of the same material as the sheer section, though of possibly higher density. That is, current pantyhose are manufactured by the tubes being knitted as a single unit from toe to waist. However, the seamless shaping hosiery of the present disclosure is manufactured by knitting each tube on its own from toe to thigh section, cutting the thigh sections in an S-shape and separately attaching each tube to each of the two curved leg openings of a seamless panties shaped shaper, while the attaching should typically be done manually in order to provide a high-quality product.

[0047] Reference is now made to FIG. 1, which is a schematic illustration of manufacturing traditional pantyhose, according to prior art. As illustrated in FIG. 1, traditional pantyhose are manufactured by knitting two tubes 101 and 102, each configured to cover one of a wearer's leg. In some cases, each of the tubes 101 and 102 may comprise a low density section 101a and 102a, respectively, which may be continuously knitted to a reinforced section 101b and 102b, respectively, while the reinforced sections 101b and 102b are knitted at a wider diameter than that of sections 101a and 102a, since sections 101b and 102b are to be placed over the thighs of a wearer, which is wider than the lower leg of a wearer. Then each reinforced section 101b and 102b may be continuously knitted to a respective waistband section 101c and 102c. Reinforced sections 101b and 102b and waistband sections 101c and 102c are made of the same material as sections 101a and 102a are made of, however, the compression of sections 101b, 102b, 101c and 102c is higher than the compression of sections 101a and 102a. That is, the pantyhose knitting machine begins with knitting sections 101a and 102a, continues with knitting sections 101b and 102b and sections 101c and 102c at a tighter knitting, with less openings between each stitch thus of higher density. The knitting machine then makes a short slit or cut from waistband sections 101c and 102c down reinforced sections 101b and 102b to allow sewing in a U shape that will join the two tubes 101 and 102 together along the middle of the abdomen, crotch and buttocks sections of the pantyhose. The joining of tube 101 to tube 102 creates a middle seam 104 passing along sections 10 lb, 102b, 101c and 102c, which when worn by a person, e.g., a woman, passes along the stomach of the person and thereby creates a non-flattering line at the middle of the stomach, which may also cause discomfort at the abdomen, crotch and buttocks areas. [0048] In some cases, a cotton gusset is sewn from the inside (pantyhose are turned inside out) onto the crotch area such that tubes 101 and 102 are further connected to one another via the gusset.

[0049] In some embodiments, currently available pantyhose 103 comprises a waistband 105, which is in fact created by connecting sections 101c and 102c to one another. Waistband 105 is typically of high compression in order to sufficiently hold onto the stomach of the person wearing pantyhose 103. In case waistband 105 is not located at the proper waist location of the wearer, waistband 105 may create a disproportional appearance of the wearer's stomach and waist areas.

[0050] Reference is now made to FIGS. 2A-2C, which are schematic illustrations of various types of prior art pantyhose illustrating some of the disadvantages of standard pantyhose, according to prior art. Standard pantyhose are simply made of elastic tubes and do not take into consideration the shape of the body nor are they designed ergonomically. Thus, when the tubes are distorted, they may cause discomfort on the wearer's legs, which are clearly not standard tube shaped, as well as on other body parts such as the waist, abdomen and buttocks. In addition, standard pantyhose machines can only knit up to a limited tube diameter, meaning standard pantyhose are limited in size range. [0051] As can be seen in FIG. 2A, in standard pantyhose 202 the crotch section 204 may sag such that a gap 206 is created between the actual crotch of the wearer and the pantyhose crotch 204. This may cause discomfort to the wearer since the thighs of the wearer would constantly be rubbed against the crotch section 204 of pantyhose 202 during usage of pantyhose 202. [0052] As can be seen in FIG. 2B, pantyhose 212 are another example of standard pantyhose with several issues that may cause discomfort for the wearer or may cause distortion to the body shape of the wearer. In case of pantyhose 212, waistband 125 is located too low along the stomach of the wearer, i.e., waistband 215 is not located at the proper location of the waist of the wearer, thus creating a distortion in the shape of the natural waist of the wearer causing body fat to be pushed above the waist of the wearer. Instead of providing an improved body shape appearance, pantyhose 212 creates a distorted body shape.

[0053] Furthermore, in some cases, waistband 215 may be too tight, which also causes body distortion by enhancing dislocation of body fat above the waist of the wearer.

[0054] In general, since standard pantyhose do not comprise areas of different compression placed ergonomically to support and enhance the figure of the wearer, standard pantyhose may compress and flatten the figure of the wearer.

[0055] As seen in FIG. 2C, which illustrates another example of a standard pantyhose with various drawbacks. Pantyhose 222 comprises a waistband 225 connected to reinforced sections 224a and 224b, which all reach a high location along the abdomen and waist of the person that is uncomfortable as well as distorts body shape. This is caused since standard pantyhose do not take into consideration the natural shape of the body and are not designed to ergonomically support it. Pantyhose 222 also illustrates uneven reinforced sections 224a and 224b, where section 224a is longer compared to section 224b causing discomfort to the wearer of pantyhose 222. In addition, pantyhose 222 illustrates a distorted middle seam 226 that is supposed to be located at the middle between reinforced section 224a and reinforced section 224b, however, when wearing standard pantyhose such as pantyhose 222, sometimes the middle seam 226 would not be located at the middle of reinforced sections 224a and 224b, e.g., middle seam 226 would not be located along the middle of the abdomen, middle of the crotch and middle of the buttocks of the wearer, which is highly uncomfortable to the wearer of pantyhose 222. Since standard pantyhose are elastic, when pulling the pantyhose over the body it can easily get distorted with respect to location of the middle seam along the body. The wearer may notice such middle seam distortion after the pantyhose is already on the body, at which point it is difficult to pull, tug and move the middle seam to the correct location. Thus, the seamless shaping hosiery of the present disclosure may provide a wide range of sizes without comprising any seams along areas that are configured to cover the abdomen, the buttocks and the torso of a wearer, which enhance comfort.
