Abstract:
Provided in the present application are a search method and an electronic device. The method is applied to an electronic device. The method comprises: in response to a first operation, an electronic device expanding and displaying a suspended search box, wherein the suspended search box is suspended in a first application interface of the electronic device; the electronic device detecting a keyword that is input into the suspended search box by a user; in response to a second operation, the electronic device displaying first target information of the first application interface in a highlighting manner according to the keyword, wherein the second operation instructs the electronic device to perform a search according to the keyword; and in response to a third operation, the electronic device displaying a second application interface, wherein the suspended search box is suspended in the second application interface, and the suspended search box keeps the keyword unchanged. By means of the solution of the present application, a unified search entry can be realized in a cross-application scenario, thereby improving the user experience.
