Abstract:

　A seat lifter includes: a linking member for linking a base member and a seat frame that constitute a seat, and shaking along with input of external rotational force to raise and lower the seat frame; a first gear provided to the linking member; a second gear meshed with the first gear, the axial direction of the second gear being parallel with the first gear; and an operating lever for imparting rotational force to the second gear. Of the first gear and the second gear, the teeth of at least one gear are shaped such that the tooth depth gradually decreases from one end to the other in the axial direction, the gears approaching each other in the axial direction to mesh together.
