Abstract:
A seat support mechanism (1) for a four-wheeled automobile driving simulator includes a base (2) that is placed on the ground, a sheet supporting fixture (5) to which a sheet (3) is fixed, a pair of cylinder-type actuators (6) of which both end portions are universal joints and that link the base (2) and the sheet supporting fixture (5) at two positions at a front side of the sheet supporting fixture (5) such that there is a gap formed between the base (2) and the sheet supporting fixture (5), a pair of hydraulic dampers (7) of which both end portions are universal joints and that link the base (2) and the sheet supporting fixture (5) at two positions at a back side of the sheet supporting fixture (5) such that there is a gap formed between the base (2) and the sheet supporting fixture (5), and a ball joint (9) that links the base (2) and the sheet supporting fixture (5) at the middle portion of the sheet supporting fixture (5) such that there is a gap formed between the base (2) and the sheet supporting fixture (5).
