A seat for vehicle having a function for rotating a seat body between a position where the seat body faces the front of a vehicle and a position where the seat body faces the opening part of a door and moving the seat body in the lateral direction of the vehicle, comprising a mechanism for unlocking a rotation lock without using an actuator, wherein a nut (73) is moved by rotating a screw shaft (72) to move the seat body in the lateral direction of the vehicle. When the nut (73) is moved by a specified distance to push a guide roller (69), an operation arm (66) is moved parallel with the movement of the guide roller to rotate a lock plate (64) in an unlocking direction so that a claw part (64a) can be disengaged from a striker (61). Thus, such problems with a conventional seat for vehicle that, since an actuator such as an electric motor is used to unlock a rotation lock mechanism for locking the rotation of a seat body, cost is high and, since a space for routing electric wiring must be secured, a reduction in size is difficult can be solved.
