Abstract:
Provided is a secondary battery having excellent operational reliability. This secondary battery comprises an electrode wound body including a positive electrode and a negative electrode, a positive electrode current collector, and a negative electrode current collector. In a state in which the electrode wound body is deployed, a negative electrode active material layer includes a third negative electrode edge that is at a position retracted inward of a first intersection at which an extension line of a first negative electrode edge and an extension line of a second negative electrode edge intersect, and that connects the first negative electrode edge and the second negative electrode edge. A second intersection at which the first negative electrode edge and the third negative electrode edge intersect is positioned between the first intersection and a third intersection at which the first negative electrode edge and a second positive electrode edge intersect.
