Abstract:
A secondary battery according to the present invention comprises: an electrode assembly comprising a separator interposed between a first electrode and a second electrode; a first electrode tab and a second electrode tab extending from the first electrode and the second electrode, respectively; a case having an opening formed thereon in one direction and receiving the electrode assembly therein; a cap plate, which is coupled to the opening of the case and comprises a first plate and a second plate that are coupled to each other while extending along the lengthwise direction of the opening; and a first lead tab and a second lead tab, which are drawn out between the first plate and the second plate and are electrically connected to the first electrode tab and the second electrode tab, respectively.
