Abstract:
This secondary battery is provided with: a positive electrode which contains a positive electrode active material that is capable of electrochemically absorbing and desorbing lithium ions; a negative electrode which contains a negative electrode active material that is capable of electrochemically absorbing and desorbing lithium ions; a separator which is arranged between the positive electrode and the negative electrode; and a nonaqueous electrolyte. The positive electrode comprises a positive electrode mixture which contains the positive electrode active material and a positive electrode additive. The positive electrode additive contains a compound represented by general formula LiaFexMyOz wherein: 0 ≤ a ≤ 5, 0 ≤ x ≤ 5, 0 ≤ y ≤ 1 and 0 ≤ z ≤ 4 are satisfied, with at least two of a, x, y and z being more than 0; and M comprises at least one element that is selected from the group consisting of Mn, Zn, Al, Ga, Ge, Ti, Si, Sn, Ce, Y, Zr, S and Na. A deoxidizing agent is arranged within this secondary battery.
